Since 1840, Tinsley Dry Goods has been a landmark in downtown Springfield. Located in the heart of
historic Springfield, Illinois and adjacent to the Lincoln-Herndon Law Office just off the Old Capitol
square, our shop reflects the look and feel of shopping when Abe himself walked these floors.
LOOKING FOR TOURIST INFORMATION? Let our sales associates exercise their ambassador skills and help you with your trip to Lincoln’s hometown. Not sure where to have lunch or dinner?? Stop by and let us give you restaurant recommendations or ask to see our Restaurant Guide book. Can’t find that one item you were looking for?? Ask us about it. If we don’t have it, we will call around to the other shops in the area and help you find it! It is all about making your trip to our hometown the best it can be. Come in to this charming shop for the area’s largest collection of Lincoln busts, souvenirs,
exclusive t-shirts with Lincoln themes, cards, soy jar candles and accessories, period décor

Tinsley Dry Goods was renovated in the spring of 2005 to take the shop back to the look and feel of the
mid-1800’s. With a tin ceiling, pine beams and a rustic native white oak wooden floor, it’s the only period
shop in the downtown historic district.
And, we received Downtown Springfield’s
Best Interior Renovation award for 2005!
So, whether as a tourist, a shopper or both, be sure to see this award-winning shop the next time
you’re in downtown Springfield! Tinsley's serves as headquarters for Springfield Walks Tours. Click here for more information |
